Chocolates and Shapes

 Hello Friends!

I hope you are all having a great day so far, I sure am! In maths, we were making a shape able to fit a certain size. I size my 3 Mini Chocolate bars. The chocolates fit perfectly in the container I made. We made it out of paper and my shape was meant to be a drawer that you can pull out of its container. I also added a little handle to make it easier.  I used the colours yellow and white. This was really fun because we got to even eat the food that we put in our container! Here is a photo. Beauty in the World

Kia Ora Everybody!

Lately in class, we were learning about Matariki and the Southern lights. Matariki is a special star constellation that is really important throughout New Zealand and the Maori culture. 

The stars are used to identify how good the harvest will be, The brighter the stars, the better the harvest. Matariki is also the start of the Maori New year. 

The Southern Lights are a beautiful set of colors that appear in the sky in all different shapes and sizes. The Colours are normally green but sometimes you can see red and blue.

You can go look at them in an "auroral zone" near the Arctic in the North and the Antarctic in the South. The southern lights are made by the Collision of charged particles with atoms within our atmosphere.

For our Activity, we did some art, First, we ripped some paper for our mountains and stuck it to some black paper, Next, we got some white paint and splattered it onto our paper to make the effect of stars. We then did our effect of the southern lights. Lastly, we did our Matariki, here is a photo of my finished art. Please tell me what you think and what I could do work on next time, Thanks a bunch!

Posters to give you Nightmares!

Lately, In Literacy, we were learning about the Genre, Horror. And we had to find posters of horror movies from the 1950s the 1980s and the 2000s AKA Present Time. We also had to write a description of why the Movies were horror movies. The Posters I chose were: Isle of the Dead (the 1950s) Jaws (the 1980s) And IT (the 2000s AKA Present time) Here is the Slide with the Posters and the description I hope you like what I did and I hope you have a great day and a great week, Bye for now!

My Magical Google Site

Lately, in Literacy we have been making Google Sites about the wizard of OZ. In our site, we had to include: Themes, Characters, and Symbols. If you are wondering what the symbols are, It's basically an object which is really important throughout the film, for example, you might do the ruby slippers on the Tin mans Axe or something like that. I haven't finished my Google site yet but when I have I will edit this post and I will put the link in. But I have some photos of my progress. 7 Wonders of New zealand

maths, we have been learning about coordinates and how different places have different coordinates. So we had to find 7 places in New Zealand that are a wonder and find out the coordinates of the places. I also got a map of New Zealand and marked the places all around New Zealand by using the coordinates. I really enjoyed doing this in math and maybe you should try it sometime. Tech Creation

Hello Friends!

Lately, during Online school, we have had to do some online tasks since we have not been able to go to tech. I decided to create some small cute macaroons made out of Fabric. I decided to make my macaroons out of Pink and white. The pink for the outside and the white for the icing on the inside. A Creative Creature

Hey Everybody!

During online school, we have had to do some Friday Tasks. One of them was to create a made-up animal, The site I used to creat mine is called Switch Zoo, And maybe you should try it sometime. The animals that I made it with was A swan for the head, A kangaroo for the legs, A zebra for the stomach, and a raven for the tail. My Fantastic Fabric Poppy

It is going to be ANZAC day soon, so during online class, I found the activity of making a big poppy to put in my front yard. It said to use reusable bags that are red, But I didn't have any so I made my own version. Heres how I made it.

1. Cut out a big circle and a smaller circle and hot glue them together with the smaller circle in the middle.

2. Get some cardboard, cut out a small circle, and colour it black. After you do that stick it on your pieces of fabric in the middle.

3. Get a stick/Piece of wood and glue the fabric on the stick/Piece of wood.

My Drawing of the Modern Tin Man

Hola Amigos

During online classes, we are learning about the wizard of Oz so we had to create a Tin Man. I decided to draw a modern highschool version of the Tin Man, If you are wondering why there is a heart on the paper its because In the wizard of Oz the Tin Man wants a heart. Drawing for ANZAC day!

Hello Team! Tayla here, Anzac day is about 1 month away so I decided to do some Anzac art. I did this using Google Canvas so maybe you should check it out sometime, Its a really good website, I use it for all my drawings. My drawing is a Poppy to represent ANZAC day, Poppys represent ANZAC day because many people died in Would war one and many of the battles happened in a field of poppies. Fish Stopmotion

My Awesome and Creative Family Tree
