My Planet Oshaveria

Hello People
I hope you all had a great school holiday, I sure did. In class, we have been learning about space and we had an activity sheet. One of the activities was to create my own planet and make a drawing of what the planet would look like. My Planet name is Oshaveria (osh-a-v-ear-ee-a) And its the planet of darkness. Here is my drawing, Its actually an animation where the stars and the moon is flashing but sadly I couldn't download it so the moon is only one colour and the stars are normal :( Please tell me what you think of my planet and tell me what I could do next time.

Beauty in the World

Kia Ora Everybody!
Lately in class, we were learning about Matariki and the Southern lights. Matariki is a special star constellation that is really important throughout New Zealand and the Maori culture.

The stars are used to identify how good the harvest will be, The brighter the stars, the better the harvest. Matariki is also the start of the Maori New year.

The Southern Lights are a beautiful set of colors that appear in the sky in all different shapes and sizes. The Colours are normally green but sometimes you can see red and blue.

You can go look at them in an "auroral zone" near the Arctic in the North and the Antarctic in the South. The southern lights are made by the Collision of charged particles with atoms within our atmosphere.

For our Activity, we did some art, First, we ripped some paper for our mountains and stuck it to some black paper, Next, we got some white paint and splattered it onto our paper to make the effect of stars. We then did our effect of the southern lights. Lastly, we did our Matariki, here is a photo of my finished art. Please tell me what you think and what I could do work on next time, Thanks a bunch!

The Superheros in Disguise..

Hello Bloggies!
In class, we were looking at different art that represents different problems in the world. We put lots of pictures of art around the classroom and next to it, we wrote down what we think the art is trying to tell us. My Favorite piece of art was one with a picture with a nurse who has a superhero logo on her mask. I think that this represents that all Nurses are superheroes and that their superpower is saving other's lives and making people feel better. Without them, COVID 19 would have killed and infected many more people. Have you ever done something like this in your class? And what do you think the picture represents? Comment and tell me! Anyway, I hope you have a great day and a great week!

Testing Our knowledge.....

Hello Bloggers!
I hope you have had a great day and a great second week of school so far! Lately, in Maths, we have been learning about Angles, Shapes, and how to make shapes by using a compass. Our teacher gave us a test to test our knowledge to see if we understood everything we have been learning so she gave us some questions to answer. I have learnt many things in maths this week including how to use a compass to create triangles and much more! Here are some photos of my maths work this week. Have you ever done something like this in maths before? Comment and tell me! Have an awesome day!

My Magical Google Site

Hello Bloggies!
I hope you have had a great day and a great week so far!
Lately, in Literacy we have been making Google Sites about the wizard of OZ. In our site, we had to include: Themes, Characters, and Symbols. If you are wondering what the symbols are, It's basically an object which is really important throughout the film, for example, you might do the ruby slippers on the Tin mans Axe or something like that. I haven't finished my Google site yet but when I have I will edit this post and I will put the link in. But I have some photos of my progress. I hope you enjoy these photos and stay tuned for the next time I post! Have a great day.
